Little Girls

by Michael Goscinski

She looked lonely
had tangled hair
and drug her feet when she walked
She was around 13
and paid me no mind
Girls used to smile at me
But that was before
the bags under my eyes
the gray hairs on my head
and the missing teeth in my mouth
Weathered for the ages
They say with age comes wisdom
But to little girls
all age brings
is an eye sore

How charmingly sad. And unfortunately, how true. Enjoyed this.
